The Great Plain

The "Nagy Alföld" is a flat fertile lowland in Southeastern Hungary. The two important rivers of the region is Duna and Tisza. The Plain or "puszta" is a core part of the Hungarian folklore with its shepherds, horses, draw wells and wayside inns. The region is also abundant in hot springs, national parks and cultural programs.

Thermal Baths

Hungary has over 1500 hot springs under the surface. The country's thermal and medicinal baths attract many tourists thanks to the good quality water and its healing properties. Hajdúszoboszló, Makó, Gyula, Orosháza-Gyopáros, Mórahalom, CserkeszÅ‘lÅ‘ and Kiskunmajsa are among the best ones.
